 We
started off from Kira's house, bikes on the car and ready to go.
We're fired up and ready for adventure. Our first day agenda -
wine tasting in Eastern Washington.
 Our
excitement faded slightly as we took in the scenery. As you can
see, there's not much going on between Seattle and Yakima.
 We
finally got to our first winery - Chinook Cellars, where we stopped for
lunch. Chinook makes a great Merlot and a moderately good
Cabernet. Both went well with our turkey pastrami sandwiches,
although Kira started to get a little tired of the pictures.
 During
the rest of the day, we visited L'Ecole, Gordon
Brothers, and Woodward
Canyon. L'Ecole (pictured at left) is located in a beautiful old
schoolhouse.
We
drove right by Woodward Canyon on the first pass, because the building is
not much to speak of. Great wines but not worth the visit.
We
ended up at the Green Gables Inn in Walla Walla, Washington, grabbed
some dinner in Walla Walla, and fell tired into bed.
